Ministry of Taxes signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations
On July 11, 2017, the Training Center at the Ministry of Taxes held a ceremony to present certificates to ASAN volunteers.
Welcoming the ceremony participants, Mr. Faiq Shahbazov, Director General of Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Taxes, said ASAN volunteers have participated in internships in tax agencies over the first six months of the current year and this will help them to become qualified employees in future. He also expressed his satisfaction with the knowledge and skills that the young interns have demonstrated over this period.
In his turn, Mr. Ulvi Mehdiyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan, highlighted the importance of volunteering for the youth in terms of acquiring new knowledge and skills and self-development. He stressed the positive role that the internship in the Ministry of Taxes may play in the future career of the youth and congratulated the ASAN volunteers on completion of their internships, and wished them success in their future endeavors.
Mr. Ali Hasanov, Head of the Training Center at the Ministry of Taxes, noted that the Ministry is continuing to take measures to accomplish the tasks set in the field of human resources management, staff training and professional development, ensuring more transparent recruitment process as well as improving the level of professional ethics, electronification of the management system, and further improving the tax administration system by recruiting personnel who are highly qualified, enthusiastic and open to innovations for the taxes agencies. As a follow-up to those measures, the Ministry of Taxes and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan signed an agreement on internship for ASAN volunteers on July 28, 2016. Under this agreement, ASAN volunteers participated in internship in tax agencies and gained insights into the fields of activity and experiences of tax agencies.
Later on the ASAN volunteers were conferred on with the certificates of internship which took place in the Ministry of Taxes.
At the end of the ceremony, the Ministry of Taxes and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan signed a memorandum of future cooperation. The Memorandum was signed by Mr. Ali Hasanov, Head of the Training Center at the Ministry of Taxes and Mr. Ulvi Mehdiyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan.
