Somali minister got acquainted with “ASAN service”
On July 25, 2024, a delegation led by Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, visited the ASAN Service center to learn about its operations
Jeyhun Salmanov, Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, provided the guests with information about ASAN Service and its various areas of activity.
The delegation was informed about the State Agency's achievements, including receiving the United Nations Public Service Award in 2015, the special award for digital governance in 2019, and being recognized as the "World's Leading Public Service" under the "Global Government Excellence Award" Program in 2023.
The guests were informed that ASAN Service is currently engaging in successful cooperation with several African countries regarding the implementation of its model.
The Minister expressed that the ASAN Service experience made a strong impression on him and showed interest in its potential application in Somalia.
Additionally, the delegation learned about the activities of the "INNOLAND" Incubation and Acceleration Center, "ABAD," "Bilim Baku" center, and the Mobile ASAN Service.
