The “ASAN Service” experience will be implemented in Somalia.
On February 12, 2025, the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, visited the “ASAN Service” center to learn about its operations.
Ulvi Mehdiyev, the head of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, provided detailed information to the guest about the “ASAN Service” centers established under the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev and the social innovation projects being implemented.
A presentation on the “ASAN Service” model was given to the guest. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan's intellectual brand is now exported to over 20 countries.
The Somali President highlighted that the “ASAN Service” initiative, established by the personal initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, had made a strong impression on him. He pointed out the significant role it plays in ensuring the accessibility of state services to the population. Additionally, he praised the professionalism and efficiency of the “ASAN Service” in delivering state services and noted that it creates good opportunities to speed up citizens' affairs. The Somali President expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the support in renewing the state service mechanisms in his country based on the Azerbaijani experience.
The guest was also provided with detailed information about the “INNOLAND- Incubation and Acceleration Center”, Mobile ASAN services, and the activities of the “ABAD” public legal entity.
Today, a document exchange ceremony was held between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Republic of Somalia, attended by the Presidents of both countries.
The “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Public Service Delivery between the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia” was exchanged between Ulvi Mehdiyev, the head of the State Agency, and Abdihakim Mohamed Yusuf, the head of the Somali Presidential Office.
