Next social campaign entitled “Green Mountain” has been held
On May 14, IDEA Public Union, with the support of the Ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has held another social event on paper waste collection titled “Green Mountain” in the framework of its “Let’s Turn Papers into Leaves” project.

On May 14, IDEA Public Union, with the support of the Ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has held another social event on paper waste collection titled “Green Mountain” in the framework of its “Let’s Turn Papers into Leaves” project.
The Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Inam Karimov, during the event mentioned, that similar social campaigns entitled “Green Mountain” had been held in Sumgayit, Sabirabad and Barda cities before. About 250 tons of paper waste have been collected within the project, what logically means rescuing the life of 4 250 pine trees.
The Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Huseyn Bagirov, deputy minister Firudin Gurbanov both spoke about the essence of the event and called everyone to reduce paper waste, save the trees and protect the environment.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the “Azersun Holding” Mr. Abdolbari Goozal highlighted, that pleased to support this project and will support such projects in future too.
At the end, Head Coordinator of IDEA Public Union Farid Jafarov mentioned, that there have been implemented many successful projects in the field of environmental protection in Azerbaijan. More than 5 million trees have been planted within last 5 years by IDEA Public Union.
Need to note, that about 600 pine trees have been allocated among the most active participants. Moreover, project targets to protect environment from pollution and build a proper management of waste.
