Participants of the project “Pupils’ friend” have been awarded with certificates
On March 10, 2017, there was held an awarding ceremony of ASAN volunteers graduated from the pilot project “Pupils’ friend” conducted within a joint organization with the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations and Ministry of Education.
The event was commemorated with a minute of silence on the victims of Sumgait State University as a result of traffic accident on the Baku-Sumgayit highway on March 9.
The event was attended by Deputy Education Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations Ulvi Mehdiyev, rector of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University Jafar Jafarov, Head of Baku City Education Department Mahabbat Valiyeva, directors of general education schools and other guests.
At the beginning, there was presented a video about the pilot project entitled “Pupils’ friend”.
Deputy Minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov said that in the current academic year there have been implemented a number of important projects in the field of education. One of those projects, “Pupils’ friend” is implemented in accordance with the "State Strategy for the Development of Education in the Republic of Azerbaijan" approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Jeyhun Bayramov said that the fact that significant work in the short term is a clear idea of the project idea and professional approach to this matter. The Deputy Minister noted that in the triangle of teacher-student-parent, the “Pupils’ friend’ has important tasks in terms of bringing the relations to a more efficient level.
Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovation, Ulvi Mehdiyev by his speech highlighted the development of the volunteer movement and the role of youth in the further improvement of knowledge and skills. He also expressed his satisfaction with the involvement of ASAN volunteers who graduated from the “Pupils’ friend” project and their positive contribution to this project.
The head of the Baku City Education Department, Mahabbat Valiyeva, said that 112 employees are working on the project covering 30 general education institutions in the capital. Taking into account the fact that many events have been held within the project so far, the Head of the BCEO noted that they all increased the effectiveness of the school environment.
Afterwards, the “Pupils’ friend”, who participated in the volunteer activities at “ASAN service” centers, were awarded with certificates.
There were demonstrated artistic compositions prepared by ASAN volunteers at the event.
It should be noted that the selected persons for the pilot project “Pupils’ friend” started to work on December last year.
