Volunteer movement through the eyes of photographers
On February 8, 2017, Baku “ASAN service” center No.2 hosted an opening ceremony of I Republic public photo exhibition entitled “Volunteer movement through the eyes of photographers”.

On February 8, 2017, Baku “ASAN service” center No.2 hosted an opening ceremony of I Republic public photo exhibition entitled “Volunteer movement through the eyes of photographers”.
Exhibition consisted of 34 photos by 16 photographers was organized by “ASAN Volunteers” Organization, Azerbaijani Photographers’ Union and support of the State Information Agency.
Aim of the exhibition is covering the developing volunteer movement, achieved success and call more volunteers to self-development through the volunteering activities.
In the frame of the exhibition there was organized a signature day of a book “Volunteering: Success formula” written by authors Dr. Nadir Adilov and Elvin Pashayev. Income from the sale of this book will be contributed to realization of wishes on letters addressed by low-income families on www.asanmektub.az.
Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ulvi Mehdiyev, by his speech at the event expressed about the coincidence of volunteering movement with the establishment of “ASAN service”, after a short period of time volunteers created a public union. U.Mehdiyev mentioned, that now over 10 000 young people have gathered around this union and they by crossing the frames of “ASAN service” have implemented about 200 local and international projects.
After it, Fuad Muradov, the Chairman of Youth and Sport Committee, Eldar Aslanov, replacing the rector of Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management, Mirnaib Hasanoglu, the Chairman of Azerbaijan Photographers Union and Bakhtiyar Islamov, the Chairman of “ASAN Volunteers” Organization by speeches delivered information on volunteering activities and emphasized on young people’s great interest in this field. Also, they talked on the essence of the book “Volunteering: Success formula”.
Should note, that in the frame of exhibition, which is going to last within a month, there were demonstrated photos of volunteers, working in public and sport fields
At the end of event, photographers attended the exhibition were awarded with certificates by “ASAN Volunteers” Organization and Azerbaijani Photographers’ Union.
