Project entitled “Let’s change a paper to a leaf” has been launched
On March 18, 2015, project entitled “Let’s change a paper to a leaf” dedicated to the paper waste collection by joint organization of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, IDEA Public Union and "Azersun Holding" Ltd. has been launched. In the frame of project initially at Baku “ASAN service” center No.4 over 10 tons of paper waste by the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan and other structural units, The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sabunchu executive power and other institutions. Starting from March 25 there will be installed special containers for paper waste in all “ASAN service” centers. Within the project collection of waste from the addresses will be conducted through special transport vehicles by "Azersun Holding" Ltd. Those who would like to hand over the paper waste in a mobile way can contact with IDEA (by 497-63-16) or "ASAN service” (108 hotline). Purpose of the project is to reduce paper wastage and save the trees by recycling, environmental protection and maintain ecological balance. Moreover, project targets to protect environment from pollution and build a proper management of waste. During February-April, 2014, there was conducted a pilot phase of the project “Let’s change a paper to a leaf” in Baku and approximately 79 tons of paper was collected and sent to the processing plant. State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, IDEA Public Union and "Azersun Holding" Ltd. invites all government agencies, private sector representatives, civil society organizations and citizens to take an active participation in the project “Let’s change a paper to a leaf” for the sake of environmental protection!
