There was signed a Memorandum between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations
Participants of the event held at the Vocational Rehabilitation Center No. 1 for Young People with the disabilities within the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan first learned about the conditions created for the organization of vocational rehabilitation of the youth at the Center, the services provided to them, classrooms and workshops where vocational training was held, and the handicrafts of young people involved in vocational rehabilitation.
During the event, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Salim Muslumov said that one of the most complex measures aimed at raising employment opportunities in the country is to support the creation of family-based farms and create conditions for the development of family business. The launch of the self-employment on a state level program in the country by the decree of the President of 7 April 2016 and the establishment of a public legal entity "ABAD" under the subordination of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 23 September 2016: "Training sessions for unemployed and employed citizens have been completed in the middle of February this year, and businesses have started to provide assets (goods and materials) for successful business plans to create family farms within the framework of practical implementation of self-employment program. To the 1st of April 2017, about 400 unemployed and employed persons in 25 districts have been provided with assets to build self-employment in agriculture and service sectors".
According to the minister, the family farms created at the expense of these assets are mainly intended for production activities: "Providing support to the sale of handicrafts of disabled people, involved in the development of their activities in the field of certification and sales of their products, as well as professional rehabilitation, it is advisable to use the capabilities of the "ABAD" centers in the case.
Inam Karimov, the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, underlined the importance of cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population in implementation of social projects of "ABAD" centers. I.Karimov also noted that the "ABAD" centers will be supported by the development of productive family farms created within the framework of the self-employment program, the expansion of business opportunities of vulnerable families, and the cooperation in other spheres as well as the achievement of important goals in the social sphere.
Later, Salim Muslimov and Inam Karimov signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
One of the areas of cooperation in the memorandum is the provision of modern technology production equipment, branding, design, financial and accounting and legal assistance services to the development of productive activities of individual farms created through the self-employment program, by the “ABAD” centers, support for the certification, transportation and sales of the product.
