Delegation of the State Agency at the “International Public Service Forum”

On November 7-8, 2018 a delegation of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was on a visit to Indonesia to attend the “International Public Service Forum”. The visit was held at the invitation of the Mr. Siafuddin, Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reforms of the Republic of Indonesia.

The forum was attended by numerous local participants, including delegations of Korea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Philippines, India, Estonia, World Bank, German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and other state and international organizations.

     The event was officially opened by the welcome speech of Mr. Jusuf Kalla, Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia.

     Within the framework of the forum, the delegation of the State Agency made a presentation on "Improvement and management of the quality of public service". There was talked about achievements of “ASAN service”, established as an integral part of public administrative reforms carried out by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as “ASAN award” established by ISESCO. In addition, questions of the participants were answered.

     "ASAN service" experience as well as its application especially drew attention of the session participants.

     Furthermore, a number of bilateral meetings were held. Meetings were organized by Mr. Siafuddin, Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reforms of the Republic of Indonesia, Ms. Diah Natalisa, Deputy Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reforms of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Edy Junaedi, Head of Public Service center of Jakarta, and Ms. Elke Rapp, representative of GIZ in Indonesia. Relevant activities regarding implementation of Memorandum of Understanding, future cooperation and a number of other issues were discussed.

     An exhibition on innovations in public service was also organized within the forum. Delegations representing the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Azerbaijan were awarded with diplomas of appreciation and honors on behalf of the Indonesia.
