A concert entitled “Alive memories” was held
On September 18, there was conducted a concert program entitled “Alive Memories” dedicated to Uzeyir Hajibeyov’s 132nd anniversary of the National Music Day organized by “ASAN Volunteers” Organization, International Mugham Center, within the support of Baku Musical Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyov and Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art at International Mugham Center.
By key note made by the Chairman of “ASAN volunteers” Organization, Bakhtiyar Islamov, mentioned that the main goal is to promote the musical compositions of great composers to young people, as well as to instill them with national and spiritual values. He, also, emphasized that ASAN volunteers have implemented many successful projects in the field of culture and will continue their activities in this direction.
Vice rector of the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Narmina Guliyeva said that the generation grew up by Uzeyir Hajibeyov have quite well promoted Azerbaijani music in the world.
Later honored artist Ulviyya Hajibeyli by her speech said that Uzeyir Hajibeyov played an exceptional role in the development of Azerbaijani musical culture and called it "great event of the east" by great musicians.
At the end students of Baku Musical Academy, Azerbaijan State Culture and Art University performed masterpieces by composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov’s overture “Koroghlu”, “Dear sweetheart”, Tofig Guliyev’s “I the happiest” and other plays were performed, also, ASAN volunteers played Uzeyir Hajibeyov’s musical comedy “Not that, but this one”.
