Opening ceremony of the legal assistance office for children at “ASAN Service” center was conducted
On 20th of October, 2014, Legal Assistance for Children office opening ceremony was launched at “ASAN Service” center No.4 under the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. On 20th of October, 2014, Legal Assistance for Children office opening ceremony was launched at “ASAN Service” center No.4 under the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Chair of the State Agency Mr. Inam Karimov by his key note highlighted about the importance of the events being implemented in the field of the child rights protection. Mr. Inam Karimov stressed out that as the priority the relevant field of the state policy is also organized for this purpose. Then, the representative of UNICEF Andro Shilakadze said that he is pleased that the opening of the office is in the same day with the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. A. Shilakadze emphasized that there are progressive steps have been taken for children at “ASAN Service” centers which demonstrates attention of the government in the relevant field by these services. Head of Cooperation Department of the European Union Jeroen Willems spoke about the successful activities of “ASAN Service” centers. Also, he mentioned that this service is engaged in efficient outcomes of the implementation of legal association for children for rights. Should be mentioned that the Legal Assistance for Children Services are being implemented with the purpose thought the “ASAN Service” centers in cooperation with UNICEF Azerbaijan Office and the Azerbaijan Lawyers Confederation.
