"ASAN VISA" system started to apply innovations
From July 6, 2017 application of the changes in the development and upgrade of ASAN Visa system have been started.
These innovations, which have been begun its application in accordance with Decree of Amendments of the “Regulation on “ASAN Visa” system by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan consists of several directions.
Thus, from July 6, 2017 when there are discrepancies between the cross-border ID and electronic visa data, a foreigner or stateless person can apply via evisa.gov.az website for reobtaining of visa by making appropriate corrections in the information.
From the mentioned date, the electronic visa validity period is 90 days, with 30 days remaining in the country.
Within the framework of the measures taken, work have been carried out on the improvement of website of ASAN Visa system.
Taking into consideration the flow of tourists coming to Azerbaijan, Arabian and Persian versions of the ASAN Visa system have been launched.
Additionally, before entering an application information for obtaining electronic visa instructions for frequently- made errors instructions and an example of travel document appears on the user's screen in pop-up format.
After the applicant's information has been entered on the website, in addition to those information in the “Confirm” window a copy of the travel document attached to the application will also be displayed on the user's screen that is a new electronic visa blank is applied.
In accordance with the recently adopted decree when a foreigners or stateless persons apply for electronic visa in accelerated manner for traveling to the Republic of Azerbaijan such requests’ review will be provided within 3 hours of the "ASAN Visa" system.
Electronic visa clearance procedure issued through the "ASAN Visa" system is implemented by the State Agency for Citizens Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan from January 10, 2017.
Foreigners and stateless persons can obtain electronic visa with 3 steps via the "ASAN Visa" system (apply, pay, and download e-visa) and within 3 working days.
Electronic visa is a collaborative document with duration of up to 30 days in the country. The list of electronic visas is only issued to citizens of 93 countries and stateless permanent residents of these countries, which are approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
