“The Jerusalem Post”: ASAN - Social Services “Disney World” of Azerbaijan

There was published an article entitled “ASAN - Social Services “Disney World” of Azerbaijan” by the american journalist Nurit Greenger on issue of “The Jerusalem Post”.

Nurit Greenger during her visit to Azerbaijan got acquainted with “ASAN service” centers and mentioned on the article that it is the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev’s unique initiative and approach to solve bureaucracy nightmare that intimidates most people.

Moreover, it was mentioned that the main purpose of ASAN is to bridge between civil servants and civilians with efficiency, a smile on its workers’ face, to make people comfortable, and to eliminate bureaucracy to the minimum.

Currently about 250 services are being rendered to citizens by both private companies and public entities at the centers. Also, it was mentioned that some services are being rendered by 10 buses and train to citizens, where the service centers are absent.

There was talked on the model of “ASAN service” and its success such as it is the 1st place winner in the category of “Improvement of Public Service Delivery” United Nations Public Service Award 2015.

At the same time, she was acquainted with the activities of “ABAD” (ASAN Support to Family Business) centers.
