Officials from Uzbekistan, Senegal, Egypt, and Gambia at “ASAN service”.
The Adviser Bobur Rakhimov the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Hahmadou Bamba, the Head of the Office of the Ministry of Public Administration and Reform of Senegal, Hoda Baraka, the Senior Advisor to the Minister of Communication and Information Technology of Egypt and Pateh Jah the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Services, Administrative Reforms, and Political Coordination of Gambia, familiarized themselves with the activities of the “ASAN service” center.
The guests visited our country to participate in the Ministerial Forum on Green Advanced Governance, organized by “ASAN service” within the framework of the 29th session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change - (COP 29) which is held in Baku on November 14, 2024.
The Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev, provided the guest with detailed information about the various activities of the State Agency, including the “ASAN service” centers established under the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev and the projects implemented in the field of social innovations.
The guests expressed that the activities of the “ASAN service” centers and the innovative practices implemented there made a powerful impression on them. They also indicated their interest in learning from this experience.
During the meeting with the Uzbek side, discussions focused on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on December 15, 2022, between the State Agency’s Innovation Center and Uzbekistan's “Yashnabad” innovation techno park, under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. The discussions covered planned activities, joint action plans, and mutual experience programs in the fields of startups and acceleration.
In the meeting with the Egyptian side, an initial agreement was reached on signing a memorandum of understanding to establish potential cooperation prospects.
The officials were also acquainted with information about the activities of the “INNOLAND - Incubation and Acceleration Center”, “Mobile ASAN service”, “ABAD” public legal entity.
