Closing Ceremony of the project “ICT trainings for girls with social needs” was held
The Closing Ceremony of the project “ICT trainings for girls with social needs” was held on December 20, 2017, with the support of “Cavan” Youth Movement Public Union and YARAT Contemporary Art Space.
The project “ICT trainings for girls with social needs”, which started on November 6, 2017 and lasted for two months, is an individual project by Turana Gasimova on C categories (projects of individuals) of the 10th grant competition of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, implemented in the frame of the financial support of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organizational support by the “ASAN Volunteers” Organization, E-GOV Education and Training Center under the subordination of the Ministry of Transportation, Communications and High Technologies, IT Step Academy and Femmes Digitales (Azerbaijani Women in ICT Club).
The project involved 20 young women with listening and hearing disorder, who are interested in ICT or have minimum knowledge in the field of ICT spheres between the ages of 16 and 26. 12 trainings within the project provided young people with basic information on computer skills, office schedules, graphic design, coding, cyber security, robot technology, e-government, and more. trainings were held.
It should be noted that the goal of the project is to support girls with social needs in the future who want to work at a professional level in ICT. At the end of the project, the participants were awarded with a certificate and provided with an internship program by various companies and organizations.
