The portal "Licenses and Permits" has been presented
On December 20, 2017, Baku Business Center hosted a presentation on the "Licenses and Permits" portal providing electronic licenses and permits required for implementation of entrepreneurial activity.
Representatives of relevant government agencies, licensing and permitting central and local executive authorities, representatives of organizations integrated into the information systems portal and entrepreneurs participated in the event.
Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov underlined that the development of the private sector is one of the priority directions of the successful economic policy led by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and highlighted the reforms implemented in the direction of non-oil sector development. It was noted that, as part of the implemented reforms, the number of activities required for the license was reduced from 59 to 37, the number of permits reduced 4 times to 86, so far, the existing term licenses and new issued licenses have been replaced with an indefinite license, the amount of the state duty paid for the issuance has dropped almost 2 times in the regions, 4 times in the regions, the time required for issuing licenses has been reduced and the procedures have been simplified. The Deputy Minister has approved the "Licenses and Permits" portal of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to implement the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on approval of the statute on the "Licenses and Permits ", also informed about the goals of the portal.
It was noted that entrepreneurs will be able to obtain licenses or permits electronically by applying for a license or permission to the type of activity, including the portal to be put into operation in 2018, and the licensing authority will receive applications for licenses and permits, prepare and respond to the questions electronically.
Inam Karimov, the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, spoke about the implementation of large-scale reforms in public services, ensuring access to and service for the public services, and “ASAN service”, known worldwide as a global brand in the field of public and private services, the successful experience in the delivery of public services to citizens. Inam Karimov noted that over 2,400 licenses have been issued over the past two years through “ASAN service” centers in Baku and regions.
Ilgar Poladov, Head of the Department for Licensing and Entrepreneurship Services of the Ministry of Economy, delivered a speech about the portal "Licenses and Permits, told about the functions of the portal, procedures for issuing licenses and permits electronically. It was noted that the "Licenses & Permits" portal provides for the reception, processing, responding to the issuance, suspension, restoration or cancellation of licenses and permits required for entrepreneurial activity, electronic registration of licenses and permits, will allow the system to access data in real-time mode.
During the event, entrepreneurs noted that the issuance of licenses and permits in electronic form would facilitate the work of entrepreneurs and would save them over time, considerable simplification of the licensing process and transparent and operative implementation of the licensing process, attention and care for entrepreneurs expressed gratitude to the leadership of the country.
