Certificates have been presented to the members of the “Customs Volunteer” team.
On October 23, 2019, certificate presentation ceremony was held for the members of “Customs Volunteer” under the State Customs Committee. First Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President fo the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Salmanov and Ismayil Huseynov, First Deputy Chairman Of The State Customs Committee Of The Republic Of Azerbaijan, Major-General Of Customs Service attended the event.
Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Salmanov talked about effective relations between ASAN Service and the State Customs Committee. Moreover, he stated that it was a positive case for the Customs Service to join the volunteer movement, as well as the establishment of “customs volunteer army”. Jeyhun Salmanov emphasized that within the volunteering movement thousands of youngsters have got an opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills, as well as employment opportunities. At the end of his speech, Jeyhun Salmanov highly praised activities of the members of the “Customs Volunteer” team and wished luck in future activities.
Ismayil Huseynov, First Deputy Chairman Of The State Customs Committee Of The Republic Of Azerbaijan, talked about youth policy pioneered by President Ilham Aliyev, state attention on this direction, as well as the formation of volunteering movement. Emphasizing the role of the First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva in the development of volunteer movement for the comprehensive development of young people, increasing their knowledge and skills, Ismail Huseynov said that the social and humanitarian projects implemented through her initiative created conditions to show their potential.
According to Ismail Huseynov, the first “Customs Volunteer” team under the State Customs Committee was formed in June this year, the goal is to make the most of the potential of the youth in the customs field, to develop their professional skills and to increase their knowledge and skills.
Head of Department of Socıal Innovatıon and Analytıcal Study, Colonel of Customs Servıce, Chairman of “Customs Volunteer” team Vugar Aliyev in his speech, noted that serving to the state as a volunteer is a noble act caused by public interest and deserves all kinds of applause. At the same time, volunteer activity enables young people to realize their potential and to interact with their peers in the country and abroad.
The head of the department said that for the first time, 131 voluntary customs officers started working in the customs authorities and that they were successfully working in various structures of the State Customs Committee for four months.

At the end of the event, members of the “Customs Volunteer” team were awarded certificates.
