The opening ceremony of “I International Start-up Academy – Ganja 2016” was launched
The opening ceremony of the “I International Start-Up Academy – Ganja 2016” was launched in the framework of the Festival entitled “Start-Up Azerbaijan”, which has been being held in Ganja on November 25-30 by joint organization of “ASAN Volunteers” Organization and “Start-Up Azerbaijan” and financial support of the Youth Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Chairman of “ASAN Volunteers” Organization, Bakhtiyar Islamov by his keynote speech emphasized, that the aim of the event, which is attended by young people over 11 countries, is to support the essence of start-up in Azerbaijan, reach exchange in thoughts between local and foreign participants, stimulate establishment of new start-ups and enhance start ecosystem.
Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ulvi Mehdiyev mentioned, that this event plays an important role in realization and development of various ideas suggested by young people attending the event.
Ulvi Mehdiyev by his speech emphasized, that approximately 10 000 ASAN Volunteers have implemented various projects so far.
The first deputy of the head of executive power of Ganja city Executive Power, Elnur Rzayev focused on the importance of conducting such event in Ganja city and stressed on its role in contribution to multiculturalism values and establishment of dialogues among young people from different countries.
The head of unit at the Youth Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Orkhan Arabov spoke about the care of the state towards youth and advantages of modern opportunities created by the state to form to be useful for the society.
President of Azerbaijan Internet Forum, Osman Gunduz and Head of Electronic Governance and Information Society Development Center, Shamo Salayev in their speeches highlighted about the role of this event in the development processes of start-up in Azerbaijan and motivation of young people in this field.
Need note, that young participants of the event will be taught within the trainings conducted by professional juries in the framework of the Academy, which will last 4 days, and the most successful selected winner start-up idea will have a chance to gain internship in one of the international start-up centers.
