The opening ceremony of Military-patriotic camp “Herbiye” was held
On 20th of July, 2018, opening ceremony of the military-patriotic camp "Herbiye" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces was jointly held by “ASAN service”, “ASAN Volunteers” and the State Border Service.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Ulvi Mehdiyev, Deputy Head of the State Border Service, General Lieutenant Ilham Mehdiyev, Head Executive Power of Gabala Region - Sabuhi Abdullayev and other guests.
The event participants laid flowers at the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev. The head of the Executive Power of Gabala region - Sabuhi Abdullayev welcomed the participants and talked about the socio-economic projects and tourism potential of our republic, including Gabala. He also underlined the importance of the projects implemented by ASAN Volunteers.
Chairman of the State Agency - Ulvi Mehdiyev spoke about the events carried out in the country in connection with the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and the work done in the field of military construction. He noted that this project will play a special role in strengthening the youth patriotic spirit.
General Lieutenant Ilham Mehdiyev informed about the army building established by national leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, and steps in increasing the material and technical capabilities of the Armed Forces. He noted that in recent years “ASAN service” and “ASAN Volunteers” have successfully implemented variety of projects.
At the end, the exemplary performance of the Frontier Movement of the State Border Service was demonstrated. The main goal of the camp is to educate the participants about the activities of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, as well as the establishment of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan by ADR, which was the first decision in the direction of army building. The volunteers will also be informed about the life of the Azerbaijani generals and their service in the field of army building, as well as the improvement of the army building policy.
