The “Green Hackathon 2024” project has been completed.
On October 30, 2024, the final event of the “Green Hackathon 2024” project was held. During the final ceremony, teams presented their innovative solutions in the fields of green technologies, smart agriculture, green energy and green economy to the panel of judges. A total of 20 teams, with the support of mentors, prepared prototypes of their ideas over the course of two days.
The event featured speeches by Ceyhun Salmanov, the Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sunniya Durrani-Jamal, the Director of the World Bank in Azerbaijan, Elnur Aliyev, the First Deputy Minister of Economy and other guests.
At the end of the competition, the “Greenix” team was awarded 1st place, the “Envirominds” team took 2nd place and the “AgroGuard” team was awarded 3rd place. The winning teams were honored with cash prizes and educational vouchers.
A panel discussion on the topic “Green Technologies for a Sustainable Future” was organized with the participation of local and international experts as part of the event. Highlighted the discussion the importance of various green innovation solutions and technological trends for Azerbaijan. The experts also shared their opinions on the possibilities of applying international practices in our country.
