Delegation from Islamic Republic of Afghanistan at “ASAN Service”

The delegation representing “ASAN khedmat” subordinate to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has visited Azerbaijan in order to get attend a number of trainings.

Within the framework of the trip, there was discussed fruitful bilateral cooperation on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2016 between the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the relevant organization of Afghanistan.

Wide information about the activities and aims of the establishment of "ASAN service" was delivered to the guests. There was emphasized that with the establishment of "ASAN service" there have been achieved serious steps in the field of provision of efficient public administration through enhancing of transparency and application of innovations.

It was mentioned that ASAN Service has received approximately 36 million applications. It was also drawn to attention that “ASAN service” received United Nations Public Service Award 2015, as well as UN Special Award for promoting digital transformation in the public sector during UN Public Service Forum 2019.

Guests got familiar with the conditions and business principles of “ASAN Service” centre, ASAN Radio, “ASAN Training and Education Center” and “ABAD” Public Legal Entity and wished them success in future activities.         

There was delivered information on the achievements in the field of e-government.

Moreover, there were organized number of meetings with different departments of the State Agency to carry on the cooperation and exchange ox experience.

In January 2019, there was established the first “ASAN khedmat” centre in Kabul city of Afghanistan based on the model of “ASAN Service” of Azerbaijan.
