“Green Mountain” this time is in Sabirabad!

“Green mountain” social awareness campaign was conducted this time on November 6, 2015, in Sabirabad within the project entitled “Let’s change a paper to a leaf” dedicated to the paper waste collection organized by IDEA Public Union, “ASAN service” and “Azersun-Holding Ltd.”

Head of Executive Power of Sabirabad, Nazim Ismayilov and Director of Sabirabad “ASAN service” center, Elvin Jafarov, during their speeches at the event spoke about the essence and importance of the social campaign. It was mentioned, that the symbolic mountain made for by paper waste to call to “green” future by gathering the people who realize the social responsibility.

Representatives of executive power and residents of the regions Sabirabad, Saatli, Imishli, Kurdamir, Hajigabul, Shirvan, Salyan, Beylagan and Fuzuli, also, attended the event. More than 70 tons of paper waste was collected within the project and executive power representatives with the distinguished performance in the frame of project were awarded with a diploma.

Purpose of the project entitled “Let’s change a paper to a leaf” is to reduce paper wastage and save the trees by recycling, environmental protection and maintain ecological balance. Moreover, project targets to protect environment from pollution and build a proper management of waste. Meanwhile, there was initiated a group “Green ASAN” ASAN Volunteers to support the project and hundreds of young people have become as participants of the initiative.
