The Deputy Secretary-General of the UN at “ASAN service”.

The UN Deputy Secretary-General Armida Salsiah Aliscahbana, the Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), visited the “ASAN service” center and familiarized herself with its activities.

The Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev, provided the guest with detailed information about the various activities of the State Agency, including the “ASAN service” centers established under the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev and the projects implemented in the field of social innovations.
Also, it was emphasized that the State Agency received the United Nations (UN) Public Service Award in 2015, the UN Special Award for the development of public services through the application of digital governance in 2019, and in 2023, the “World's leading public service” title under the “Global Government Excellence Award” program, recognizing it with a special award. Additionally, the successful implementation of the “ASAN service” model in various countries was highlighted.
The guest stated that, Ministerial Forum on Green Advanced Governance within the framework of the 29th session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change - (COP 29) was successfully organized by “ASAN service”. 
The successful activities of Azerbaijan in leading the Digital Technologies and Applications Working Group of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) were discussed during the meeting.
The UN Deputy Secretary-General emphasized that “ASAN service” and the innovative practices implemented there are exemplary and advanced experiences in the field of public service delivery.
Officials also discussed cooperation on the implementation of combined projects.
During the meeting, there was a close familiarization with the activities of the “INNOLAND - Incubation and Acceleration Center”, “Mobile ASAN service”, “ABAD” public legal entity.
