The “Bilim Guba” center officially starts its operations
The opening ceremony of the “Bilim Guba” center took place on May 14, 2025. Located within the “ASAN Hayat” complex in Guba, the center operates as part of the “Bilim Azerbaijan” project.
The event was attended by Fuad Garayev, Head of the Office of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation); and other Azerbaijani and Turkish officials.
The goal is to create conditions that enable talented children in the regions to realize their potential and integrate into the international scientific and technological community.
Another key objective is to provide accessible, high-quality technological education opportunities for students residing in the area. Currently, four laboratories are operational: the “Natural Sciences Laboratory,” the “Mathematics Laboratory,” the “Astronomy, Space, and Aviation Laboratory,” and the “Design Laboratory.” Each laboratory can accommodate 20 students at a time, allowing a total capacity of 80 students simultaneously.
The center also implements the “Deneyap Technology Program,” which adopts a project-based and problem-oriented educational approach aligned with the future demands. 80 students were selected out of 1,000 students, participated in the exam held in Guba in April 2025, to join the program.
As part of this initiative, students will engage in training focused on technology development and project creation across 11 different topics.
It should be noted that the "Bilim Azerbaijan" project is being implemented based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) on September 23, 2021. The project's aim is to foster interest in technology, science, entrepreneurship, and innovation among children aged 6–14, and to provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the demands of the 21st century.
The “Bilim Baku” center, the first implementation of the “Bilim Azerbaijan” model, was inaugurated on May 28, 2022, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev; the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; and Nobel Prize laureate Professor Aziz Sancar. Building on this successful initiative, the second center, “Bilim Guba,” is now operational in the region.
