Azerbaijan was represented at VI “World Government Summit”
A delegation led by the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan paid a visit to Dubai, UAE with the purpose to attend “World Government Summit”.
More than 4000 guests are attending the summit held under the slogan "Forecasting Future Governments ". There are heads of government and ministers, prominent public and political figures, scientists and experts, as well as representatives of leading international organizations among participants from 140 countries. A presentation series, roundtables and workshops were held in the context of the 4th industrial revolution in the context of adaptation of governments to new challenges, artificial intelligence, data analysis, robotics and effective urban management were organized within the framework of the Summit
The "World Government Summit" is a partnership with a number of important international organizations, including the United Nations, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the World Economic Forum.
In the frame of the event the Chairman of the State Agency held meetings with various state bodies and company representatives.
There were discussed a number of issues on mutual cooperation were discussed at the meeting with the Minister of Planning and Administrative Reforms of the Arab Republic of Egypt Hala El-Sayed, State Administration Minister of Montenegro Suzana Pribilovic, Minister of Administrative Reforms and Civil Service of Morocco Mohammed bin Abdelkader, Minister for Administrative Modernization of Portugal Maria Markes, Minister of State Services of Uganda Wilson Muruli Mukasa.
Within the framework of the meetings there was given detailed information on the reforms carried out in the recent years to improve and modernize the public administration by Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and told about the establishment of “ASAN service” centers, their goals and directions, as well as e-Government establishing issues. There were exchanged views on “ASAN Visa”, “ASAN pay”, “ASAN 2.0”, ABAD projects and discussed prospects for cooperation in these fields.
Moreover, in the frame of visit, there were held various meetings with the General Director of the Directorate General for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Emirate of Dubai, Major-General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri and Etihad, officials of Air Arabia through what achieved initial agreement with the purpose to promote “ASAN Visa”, “ASAN Visa 2.0” project and some effective solutions
