There was held 2nd Solidarity Forum of Azerbaijani Volunteers

On December 5, 2019, within the framework of “Azerbaijan Volunteers Week” there was organized the 2nd Solidarity Forum of Azerbaijani Volunteers with the participation of nearly 3000 youngsters. The forum is jointly organized by the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan Youth Foundation. Thanks to the forum, there was organized an exhibition of youth movements and organizations.

The event started with the national anthem and a video clip displaying developments phases of the volunteer movement in Azerbaijan.

Ceyhun Salmanov - Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan,  Farid Jafarov – Executive Director of the Youth Foundation, Intigam Babayev – Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport, Firudin Gurbanov – Deputy Minister of Education in their keynote speeches emphasized the exceptional role of projects realized in the field of volunteer movement under the guidance of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and its importance in activities of various state organizations. It was drawn to attention that within the framework of the week, 147 martyr families in 17 cities/ regions have been visited, there have been organized social work in 19 orphanage, boarding schools and elderly houses in 7 cities/regions, there have been held ecological campaigns in 10 cities/regions. In total, more than 10 thousand young volunteers have attended these events.

The forum was followed by performances by volunteers, TEDx performances and awarding of volunteers who have been active throughout the year, as well as music performances presented by talented young people who have achieved success at international competitions.

At the end, the official guests and representatives of the volunteer organizations were photographed together.
