“Azerbaijan Innovations Export Consortium” was founded
A memorandum of cooperation was signed on July 7, 2017, between 10 companies specialized in innovation to establish the "Azerbaijan Innovation Export Consortium".
Event was launched by the key note by the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Inam Karimov, who noted that the main goals of Azerbaijan during the current development period are the formation of multidimensional, innovation-oriented economy, development of non-oil sector and expansion of international export and competitive opportunities.
Inam Karimov also said that because of large-scale reforms in public administration in recent years, exemplary models of international standards, there were introduced “ASAN service”, as an integral part of reforms initiated by President Ilham Aliyev. One of the goals of “ASAN service” is implementation of new innovations in public services, such as electronic government services, “ASAN payment” system, “ASAN Visa”, etc.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BestComp Group, Rauf Hasanov, said that intellectual products produced in Azerbaijan as successful as in other countries. He noted that the establishment of the Consortium would facilitate the access of Azerbaijani companies to the world market and create a great opportunity for the production of competitive products.
Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Economic Reform Analysis and Communication Center, said that they are ready to provide support for Consortium members' exports through the “Azexport” portal and the “Azerbaijan Digital Trade Cross”.
Chief of Agency for International Development Ashraf Shikhaliyev said that the creation of the Consortium opens new opportunities for companies and is ready to support companies as a state agency.
Executive Director of the State Fund for Development of Information Technology, Elchin Zeynalov, said that in recent years, President Ilham Aliyev has taken very important steps for the formation of information technologies and competitive economy in Azerbaijan, and holding today's event is one of the successful steps in this area.
Then the company's executives noted that the Consortium, which was created, will give impetus to the development of innovation technologies in Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that "Azerbaijan Innovation Export Consortium" is firstly incorporated into Azerbaijan's 10 innovation companies and is considered to be the Union of Companies operating in this area. This alliance will protect the interests of the companies included in the Consortium and represent them on the international market.
The purpose of the memorandum is to coordinate innovation activities in our country, increase the business climate, and attract investment and entrepreneurship.
The "Azerbaijan Innovation Export Consortium" will also be influential in increasing the role of our country in the international market. Thus, the Consortium will play an important role in the international rating of our country, the formation of intellectual, innovative and competitive potential, strengthening of international export opportunities, the experience of “ASAN service”, known as the intellectual brand in the international arena and integration of intellectual products of the country into the international market.
