22nd Memorandum signed for export of "ASAN service" model

A delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Temesgen Tiruneh, is visiting Azerbaijan at the invitation of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

A delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Temesgen Tiruneh, is visiting Azerbaijan at the invitation of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The purpose of the visit is to familiarize themselves with the projects implemented by the State Agency in the fields of public service delivery and social innovations, and to sign a cooperation document regarding the implementation of the "ASAN service" concept in Ethiopia.

The Chairman of the State Agency, Ulvi Mehdiyev, provided the guests with detailed information about "ASAN service" and other activities of the State Agency. It was emphasized that "ASAN service," established on the personal initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, has played a significant role in ensuring public access to government services. It was also highlighted that more than 20 countries and international organizations are currently collaborating to share the "ASAN service" experience.

Ulvi Mehdiyev fondly recalled his visit to Ethiopia in August 2023 and expressed readiness to support the sharing of Azerbaijan’s experience in public service delivery.

Temesgen Tiruneh expressed his admiration for the "ASAN service" concept, acknowledging its impressive impact on public access to government services, and highly praised the activities of the State Agency in this regard.

Subsequently, a signing ceremony was held for the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Civil Service Commission of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

The memorandum envisions joint cooperation in establishing centers in Ethiopia to deliver public services based on the "ASAN service" concept, as well as implementing relevant training and experience-sharing programs.

The delegation also visited the "ASAN service" center, Mobile ASAN service, "Bilim Baku", and the "INNOLAND" Incubation and Acceleration Center.

Overall, the visit includes plans for various business meetings, familiarization visits, and other events with Azerbaijani state officials.
