“ASAN service” delegation continue Uganda visit

The visit of the delegation of the State Agency for Service to Citizens and Social Innovations under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic to the Republic of Uganda continues.

Within the framework of the visit, meetings were held with the heads of Uganda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of State Services, and Ministry of Information Communication Technologies. During the dialogues, it was emphasized that the bilateral relations between our countries are at a high level. The Ugandans congratulated Azerbaijan on its successful chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement. The importance of the Memorandum of Agreement signed with the State Agency in 2018 was also emphasized.

The chairperson of the State Agency, Ulvi Mehdiyev, wished success to the Republic of Uganda, which will take over the chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement after our country. The chairperson of the State Agency emphasized that the relations between the two countries in the field of public services will further develop.

In the meetings, thorough presentations were made about the innovations applied in the improvement of public services in our country and the measures taken for the development of the startup ecosystem. An agreement was reached about applying the programs and products of information technologies used in the field of social innovations and the provision of public services in our country in Uganda.

The delegation also got acquainted with the services provided at the Uganda Investment Authority and the Registration Service Center.
