“ASAN service” presentation was conducted in Brussels
Delegation of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited Brussels. In the frame of the visit, on April 1, 2015, delegation participated at the conference on the topic "Institutional conditions in development of the successful of e-government programs". E-government, establishment of open databases, priorities of “ASAN service” experience and its importance to implement in the Europe were the main discussed topics of the event. During the conference in the key speech of the deputy director of the Brussels Information Center Robert Herzel, it was noted about the services rendered to citizens and activities in the field of e-government services by government agencies, Belgian experience and importance of the usage of more innovative methods. Azerbaijan's ambassador to Belgium Fuad Iskandarov spoke about the activities in the field of e-governance and “ASAN service” model, also Azerbaijani successful experience in the field of public service delivering, Azerbaijan-Belgium and Azerbaijan-EU corporation. There was conducted a presentation of the report on the topic “Azerbaijani model: application of smart technologies and creation in improvement of relations between a state and citizens” by organization “Vision” at the event. Head of International Department at the State Agency Azad Jafarli delivered information about the establishment of “ASAN service” centers, activity directions which aimed to bring to citizens punctual, comfortable and quality services. Then the director of "Innovation Center" LLC Kamran Aqasi spoke about the working principle of the Centers, quality standards and rules of staff selection. According to his words, one of the most important goals is to increase transparency and citizen satisfaction. It was also noted that more than 4 million applications were received by the centers in last two years. At the end of the conference discussions on the relevant topics were conducted and questions asked by participants were answered. In the future, application of best practices among Azerbaijan, Italy, Belgium, and cooperation in the field of delivering and maintain business relations were supported as a general idea. Representative of Information Centre in Brussels Francois Du Mortyer, representatives of the European Policy Centre, Federal Information and Communication Agency officials, experts and representatives of civil society, representatives of the public in Brussels also took place at the event. It should be noted on the 30th of March, 2015, that there was held a presentation of “ASAN service” model on the similar topic in Rome. It was highlighted importance to apply such an example model in many countries.
