“Green Mountain” campaign held at “ASAN service”
The event, organized by the “Green ASAN” program as part of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World,” was initiated by ASAN volunteers with support from the Ministry of Science and Education, the Salyan District Executive Authority, Azersun Holding, and the Azerbaijan Paper and Cardboard Production Plant.

The goal is to promote the recycling of paper waste to protect trees, preserve nature, and maintain ecological balance.
The event was attended by Ülvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sevindik Hatamov, Head of the Salyan District Executive Authority, various public figures from different districts, and other guests.
During the campaign, a "Green Mountain" made from over 150 tons of paper waste was showcased. ASAN volunteers and students displayed their handcrafted items made from waste materials, a cultural corner was presented, and various musical performances were held.
Additionally, winners of the “Idea Competition” in three categories were awarded, and certificates of appreciation were given to various organizations.
The 6th “Green Mountain” eco-social campaign saw participation from citizens, schools, and institutions from over 30 cities and districts of Azerbaijan.
Over the past 9 years, the program has recycled more than 2000 tons of paper waste, preventing the cutting of over 34,000 trees. It has also implemented more than 400 ecological projects and conducted over 100 cleaning and tree-planting campaigns.
