The event attended by a number of government officials of Azerbaijan, representatives of the diplomatic corps in Baku, the country's largest tourism companies, experts, representatives of local and international media, was opened by a keynote speech by the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Inam Karimov.
Chairman of the State Agency emphasized, that the site of “ASAN Visa” is currently functioning in a test regime, will be fully operational from January 10.
Moreover, Inam Karimov mentioned, that a person, who charges for an electronic visa though the site, the visa will be sent to the e-mail within three days.
Chairman of the State Agency expressed his gratitude to the relevant institutions and companies for their support.
Later, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Nazim Samadov during his speech mentioned, that there have been implemented a lot in the field of development of tourism infrastructure and simplification of visa system.
Deputy Minister mentioned, that “ASAN Visa” portal will play a crucial role in increasing the number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan.
Deputy Head of e-services development and social innovations department, Fariz Jafarov made a detailed presentation of “ASAN Visa” portal.
Later, event was continued with an interactive question-answer part.
Need note, “ASAN Visa” was established according to the Degree No.922 dated June 1, 2016, on “Simplification of procedures for issuing e-visas and establishment of “ASAN Visa” system” by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, due to the joint activity of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and relevant institutions.
